Hello,

And welcome to this our final Newsletter of 2011 and thank goodness the weather has been a little kinder to us this year.

September we welcomed Veronique Solomn to our merry band and over the coming year we look forward to Veronique, Chris and Geoff exhibiting their works for the first time. Olivia's first showing at our Christmas Exhibition was a triumph; she sold three out of her four submissions, no pressure for the next exhibition then! Gallery Pages within our website will be awarded to each of our new members after their first twelve months of membership so watch this space.

The weekend of 24th, 25th & 26th November saw our Christmas Exhibition held at the Towcester Town Hall and proceedings were opened at 7.30pm by Cllr Martin Johns, Town Mayor of Towcester. What a weekend, fantastic attendance and record sales.

Paintings by Society Artists Pam Chambers; Mike Chew; John Damsell; Olivia Davies; Annie Day; Denis Dent; Brenda Fisher; Barbara Harris; Susan Harwood; John Hunt; Maureen Ibbetson; Paula Kirk; Jenny LeBlique; Pat Neal (Life Member); Rita Owens; Janina Sassan; Bill Twemlow; Claire White and Edie Whittington were sold.

Our Raffle was drawn at 4.00pm on Sunday 26th November and all winners were notified and published on the front page of our website.

As the year draws to a close and our thoughts turn to Christmas all of us at the Towcester & District Art Society would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has made this year such a resounding success and last but not least
